Nike's new self-tying shoe goes loose.

Nike's new smart self-tying shoes called as Adapt BB go down after its app through which the shoelace is tied started malfunctioning.

Tagged as the Future of Footwear, the new $350 Nike's Adapt BB was launched on 17th February 2019.
Apparently, the Android app which allows the users to loosen or tighten the shoe started to crash. Many customers are complaining that the app gets connected to only one shoe, whereas the app is supposed to get connected with both the pair.
The shoe can be controlled manually with the two buttons at the bottom of each pair. The frustration of the people who bought it can be seen on the google app store where they are commenting about it.
One of the buyers said that ever since the app has updated, it is having an error due to which the right shoe is not turning on or getting connected to the app. The buyer further wrote that spending $350 on a shoe and then the app is not getting connected is kind of embarrassing.
The Adapt BB has a small motor in the shoe which pulls the lace inside or outside the shoe as per the persons choice.

Nike claims that they have reinvented shoelace which dated back to 3000BC during the stone age with its Adapt BB. Before the launch, Nike quoted that "Shoelace, you had a good run but we may have finally bettered you". After the launch of the shoes and the crash of the app, Nike is having a difficult week.

Zion Williamson, a college basketball star player slipped and fell off when his Nike trainers split apart. Since that incident, Nike's stock has fallen down to more than 1%.
