Amazon plans to cut delivery times.

Amazon will cut the delivery time for its customers of Amazon Prime Worldwide.

What is Amazon Prime?
Amazon Prime is a service where the customer has to subscribe to the Prime service to access Amazon Prime TV shows and to services like free delivery.

Currently, the customers in the US are getting their products in two days, but Amazon plans to cut it to one day. Customers who have subscribed for Amazon Prime gets free one-day delivery in some parts of the UK. But now Amazon plans to spend an additional $800m to cut the delivery time everywhere. They have not mentioned any specific date as to when this will start, but they promised to begin this service as soon as possible as this will help in steady progress in the business.

Two days shipping is offered on many products by Walmart and Target, in many parts of the US, and they have been constantly focusing on improving the services of delivering.
Amazons move is to be ahead of its rivals.
Many items bought from Amazon is delivered on the same day in the cities of the US, but analysts are saying it will be difficult to give that service to the remote parts of the country.

In a report, Amazon achieved a $3.6bn profit in the first quarter which the double of the profit earned last year in the same period. It is noticed that it was their fourth successive quarter of profit. In the first quarter, Amazon's sales rose  17%  to $59.7bn. Amazon is now expecting sales to grow to 20% in the second quarter.
